The 2+1 Friendship School Project is partnership made between London International Academy (LIA) and other schools throughout the world. 2+1 is an agreement to exchange teaching techniques and share a curriculum in order to better prepare international students for the transition between their home country’s education system and Canada’s. The overall goal of the project is to bridge the cross-cultural education gap to assure the students’ successful enrollment in a North American post-secondary institution.

LIA has over 35 different Friendship Schools.
What does 2+1 stand for?
- 2 = two years of study in the student’s home country
- 1 = one year of study in Canada before entering a North American post-secondary institution.
