LIA offers a complete Canadian educational experience, leading to an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and credentials to take on more challenging and competitive post-secondary programs in North America.
All incoming students who have competed high school courses elsewhere will have their transcripts assessed to determine how many equivalency credits they will be graded.
Individual Learning Plans (ILP)
All incoming students will meet with the Guidance counsellor to work on the ILP. It is a way to set and track their goals in the areas of academic achievement, career and education exploration and extracurricular and community involvement activities.
Students will select courses in collaboration with the guidance counsellor.
It is important that students do some honest self-assessment, matching their ability with their interests and aptitudes.
